Target Credit Range
Overview
- PWB Bulletin 25-01 updated Target Credit Range but the memo was not clear. Bidliner's takeaway is that TCR entries will stand on there own in the layer you enter them. The system will solve in that layer honoring the TCR or proceed to the next layer. This understanding implies the following:
- TCR no longer must be bid in layer one with each subsequent layer becoming the same or less restrictive.
The Manual :
- Requests a schedule constructed to a specific 5 hour credit range within the Line Construction Window (LCW).
- Target Credit Range The use of invalid values with the Target Credit Range preference should be avoided.
- This is especially critical when bidding concurrently between line holder and reserve.
- Existing logic will not correct an invalid TCR bid until just prior to LN entry, which may cause a lower layer (i.e. reserve) to be awarded instead of a potential line, if LN is not entered. If a value of zero (0) is entered, the input TCR will be discarded and the entire LCW will be used.
Bidliner Insight
- Remember Line Properties only help determine which of and how your bid pairings are placed on your monthly line.
- These values must be inside the LCW. One value may be rounded to the nearest whole hour above or below the LCW. If the LCW is 75:45 to 89:45. The low end of the LCW can be rounded to 75 and the high end can be rounded to 90.
Caution
- Must be Bid in Layer 1 or following a Clear Bid. Subsequent layers must be equal to or less restrictive than the original value.
- Do Not Bid Target Credit Range in the lowest layer; it is a restrictive bid.
- Pilots who are IMAX limited below the LCW should not use this property.
- IMAX pilots limited below the LCW will not be able to use Target Credit Range.
