Requests a Regular Line with the highest number of calendar days off as possible.

It will find the award solution with the greatest number of days off in the awarded month.

it will not select pairings you did not bid.

While it is acceptable to bid multiple Days Off properties in the same layer it may produce un desirable results if the bidder does not understand that there is a hierarchy of importance of each of the Deja properties . Note the Priority Property below.
If you bid Maximize Total Days off and Maximize Weekends Off in the same layer. Maximize Total days will take priority potentially yielding zero weekends off.

Each of Days Off Property has an assigned System Priority to allow the System to prioritize if multiple Days Off Properties are bid in the same layer.

Consider the Days Off Tab as the tie Breaker Tab. When you have more pairings than you need to solve The Days Off Properties, your bid will prioritize which pairings are awarded. Each Days Off Property and certain of the Line Properties has an assigned System Priority to allow the System to prioritize if multiple Days Off Properties are bid in the same layer.
