Duty Period - The time between reporting for duty and the end of the debrief period. A duty period may include flight segment(s) and/or deadhead segment(s).

This does not reflect the number of calendar days a pairing contains. Therefore, a 3-day pairing with an extended layover and 2-duty periods could be added to the pool.
